Recipe: Chicken curry with potatoes or Peas


* 1 chicken cut into pieces.

* 3 medium tomatoes grated. 

*1 large onion finely chopped.

*3 heaped tablespoons crushed ginger/garlic.

*2 x star aniseed

*2 x sticks cinnamon 

*3 x Elachi pods

*4 x cloves

*1/2 teaspoon mixed curry seeds

*4 heaped tablespoons Saras Brand Rumbo Russi Masala

*1/2 teaspoon turmeric

*1 tablespoon Saras Brand Chicken Curry Booster

*Curry leaves 

*Dhania/ coriander 

*Water

Method


*In a pot add oil, Mix seeds, cloves, Elachi pods, cinnamon sticks and star aniseed let this cook for 1 minute. 

*Add the curry leaves and onions and cook until soft. 

*Add the masalas, turmeric, ginger/garlic, and Saras Brand Chicken Booster and add about 150 ml water and let this cook until the oils separates. 

*Add the chicken pieces let it cook for about 15 minutes. 

*Add the tomato and let it simmer for 5 minutes.

*Add either potatoes or peas.  If adding potatoes, cover with water and let it cook until the potatoes are soft, if you adding peas let it cook for about 30 minutes.

*Garnish with Dhania/Coriander
